Manchester-based dance theatre company, Company Chameleon, are delivering an intensive Masterclass at Barbican Theatre, Plymouth from 7-9pm on Friday 7th November.
Company Chameleon is co-directed by Anthony Missen and Kevin Edward Turner who both trained at Northern School of Contemporary Dance and have worked with Rambert, Scottish Dance Theatre, CassaniDance, choreographers Rui Horta, Liv Lorent, Phoenix Dance and Henry Oguike among others.
The Company has forged a distinctive path in the dance/theatre world with their innovative, highly observational productions about human behaviour, relationships, social issues, individual identity and heritage. Their new production ‘Beauty of the Beast’ is a moving and subversive look at male group dynamics, exposing the many faces of man – strength, camaraderie, vulnerability and hostility; and what happens when affiliation becomes identity.
At just £10/£8, this two hour Company Chameleon Masterclass, inspired by their new work, is a fantastic opportunity for dance students, artists and practitioners to train and develop their creative and choreographic skills. Participants can expect exercises focusing on body conditioning as well as contemporary technique and floor-based movement skills, using Company Chameleon’s unique physical style.
