Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September at Pavilion Dance South West, Bournemouth.
TEST is a two-day workshop, followed by online support, for choreographers/makers interested in exploring the potential value of involving a dramaturg, or dramaturgical practice, in their work. Test is produced by South East Dance, in partnership with Pavilion Dance South West, and is part of South East Dance’s Dramaturg in Residence programme.
Working with South East Dance Dramaturg in Residence Lou Cope, the weekend will offer a very practical introduction to dramaturgy as a process and product-shaping practice. We will examine and seek to evolve the work of each participant, and will provide them with strategies to develop their work and the way it is made.
In addition to spaces for six choreographers/makers, there will be two spaces for emerging dramaturgs.
The group will work together with Lou to understand the creative possibilities and opportunities of ‘thinking dramaturgy’.
All participants will receive a bursary of £300 to cover travel and accommodation.

Deadline for applications is 31st August. All applicants notified by Monday 7th September.
