Arts Council England are looking for experienced cultural professionals to work with the Arts Council to contribute towards the assessment of arts organisations and museums. You will be asked to undertake assessments of the work of Arts Council funded organisations across England:
Artistic and Quality Assessments provide a fair, robust and transparent platform for discussions about the quality of work produced by organisations that the Arts Council regularly funds, helping the Arts Council develop a broader evidence base to inform funding decisions and for reporting on the extent to which we are meeting our stated Goal 1: Excellence is thriving and celebrated in the arts, museums and libraries contained within the strategy ‘Achieving Great Arts and Culture for Everyone’.
We have recently expanded the scope of the programme to include Museums, participatory work and programmed work. Re-launched in October 2014 as Artistic and Quality Assessment (AQA), it continues to assess the work of our National Portfolio Organisations (NPOs) and Major Partner Museums (MPMs).
From April 2015 we will be increasing the volume of assessments and therefore we are to recruit more assessors, from a range of different art forms, backgrounds and age groups, to join the AQA team. We are focusing in particular on the following areas:
• Digital, live art and creative media work
• Combined arts
• Children and Young people experts
• Disability arts
• Rural and touring work
• Literature and Children’s literature
• Participatory and programmed experience across various art forms.
If you are interested in applying, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. The deadline for applications is 12pm Friday 2 January 2015.
