Open call for local people to work with a professional dance company on a new performance in Torbay.
Dance in Devon is calling out for people of all ages to come together for a unique chance to work with Impermanence to create a brand new, inter-generational dance piece. The new work will be performed at Come, Dance With Me, a social dance event as part of the International Agatha Christie Festival, in Torbay on 14th September.
Impermanence are a Bristol based company creating critically acclaimed work for stage & film.
The company started in 2011 and since, they have worked with well over a hundred people, consistently producing new work and functioning as an ongoing experiment into collaborative creation.
Wanting to engage with audiences as much as possible, they have presented work at theatres, warehouses, festivals, cabarets, site-specific projects and community events, each time trying to reconfigure the elements of the creative process to create ever more powerful and engaging performances.
Impermanence explores the notions of equality and democracy while making exciting dance theatre, leading workshops, teaching at universities, and running community projects.
Impermanence is Co-Directed by Roseanna Anderson & Josh Ben-Tovim.
