Open call for local people of all ages to come together to create and perform in Torbay.
Dance in Devon is calling out for people of all ages to come together to take part in Come Dance With Me, our social dance event as part of the International Agatha Christie Festival in Torbay. We will be creating some fun dances to share on the day under the theme of ‘Destination Unknown’ to reflect Agatha Christie’s eclectic interests and varied adventures into wild swimming, rollerskating, archeology and travel.
Who can get involved?
This opportunity is for all ages, if you love to dance and perform and want to explore new ways of moving – this is for you. We would like to create an inter-generational cast of local performers for this event.
This opportunity is ideal for those with an interest in performing, but whether you have dance experience or not, everybody is welcome! You will need to commit to the rehearsal dates.
When and Where?
If you would like to get involved in this exciting opportunity you will need to be available for the 3 rehearsals in September (exact dates coming soon) and the performance on 18th September 2021, as part of our social dance event ‘Come Dance with Me…’. The event, including a live band and refreshments, will be open to the public as part of the International Agatha Christie Festival and will be held in the Spanish Barn at Torre Abbey, Torquay, including the performance.

How to get involved
If you would like to find out more and get involved please contact Martha via projectmanager@danceindevon.org.uk
