Come, Dance With Me…
September 17, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm£7
Part of the International Agatha Christie Festival 13-17 September
Dance in Devon presents an afternoon celebrating dance, moving and stories inspired by Agatha Christie’s love of dance and her book “Come, Tell Me How You Live”
A special tea dance with live music by the fabulous Drat Pack in the Spanish Barn at Torre Abbey. We invite newcomers and old-hands to discover and try out a range of social dances. All ages, dance interests and abilities welcome!
Join us for a piece made especially for the festival with contemporary choreographer Richard Chappell with an intergenerational cast of dancers with a story to share. Dancers range from 12 to 96 years old and are all from Torbay. Sit back and enjoy tea and watch some of the wonderful choreographies devised through a series of workshops commissioned by the festival, sharing their stories and dance styles from ballet to tap, belly dancing to butoh and ballroom to contemporary.
